The Brigade is very proud and pleased that Senior Station Officer Bernard Kingsbury was awarded the Queens Service Medal in the New Year's Honours list. Bernard has been a member of the Brigade for 47 years and continues to be an active front-line firefighter. Bernard's award was for services to the New Zealand Fire Service. Congratulations Bernard!
The Firefighter Combat Challenge is a sports event that really tests the fitness, strength and stamina of the competitors. A team of four Cust Brigade firefighters regulary compete in local, national and international events.
