Changes At The Top

There are changes in the wind at the Cust Volunteer Fire Brigade with the brigade’s Chief Fire Officer standing down after 10 years in charge.  Former CFO Mike Neason took the reins in December 1999 and says that he always intended to do a fixed term.  Under Mike’s leadership the Cust Team has developed into a well-trained, professionally run Brigade.  Mike says “Now it is time for a change, new ideas, and the opportunity for someone else to make their mark”.

Mike hands over command to Peter Clements who until now has been the Brigade’s Deputy Chief.  Peter says “I am looking forward to getting into the new role, the brigade is well equipped and in great heart.”  The official handover took place on 11 December and Peter says, “It is great that Mike is staying on in the brigade as a fully-active member, his experience is invaluable”.

Former Station Officer Sean Jackman assumes the Deputy Chief’s role.
