Bernard Kingsbury QSM

The Brigade is very proud and pleased that Senior Station Officer Bernard Kingsbury was awarded the Queens Service Medal in the New Year's Honours list. Bernard has been a member of the Brigade for 47 years and continues to be an active front-line firefighter. Bernard's award was for services to the New Zealand Fire Service. Congratulations Bernard!

Firefighter Combat Challenge

The Firefighter Combat Challenge is a sports event that really tests the fitness, strength and stamina of the competitors. A team of four Cust Brigade firefighters regulary compete in local, national and international events. The Cust Brigade is doing its bit to promote this unique sport through the "Ready On Blue" pages hosted on this website, have a look at the pages under FCC in the menu.

Upcoming Events

Two new events have been announced to be held in August in Blenheim and at Burnham Military Camp.

The Nationals have been confirmed to be held in Ashburton. For registration details see the UFBA website here: www.ufba.org.nz.
