Double Gold Star
On Saturday 22 August the Cust Brigade was very proud to host a double Gold Star celebration at the Cust Community Centre. Chief Fire Officer Mike Neason and Deputy Chief Fire Officer Peter Clements were both recognised for having achieved 25 years service each. The Gold Star medals were presented by Area Manager Ross Ditmer, Vice-President of the United Fire Brigades Association. Presentations were also made by the Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigades Association, the Gold Star Association, the Waimakariri District Council and by the Brigade itself.
Friends, family and members of neighbouring Brigades attended the function that, after a meal and the formalities, carried on with music and
dancing into the night.
The Cust Brigade enjoyed the opportunity to honour two members of our leadership team in a fitting manner.
